Ok, so if you would like to know a little about me - here goes! I was born in 19flubbetyflbu (oops, my keyboard just seized up! - you'll just have to take a guess at that one!) I wrote my 1st poem at school when I was ten - the teacher asked us to write a poem about a haunted house. I scared myself to death at bedtime for weeks with that one! Teachers, please bear that in mind for future reference!

I never took further education, although my teachers were rather miffed about that. Notwithstanding, I never found myself out of a job until I came down with M.E. some years later.

I've been writing poetry - rhyming and free verse - since I was about 17, but a lot of early stuff was typical teen angst so I won't be using that! I like to inspire people and make 'em laugh, not give 'em an angst attack! Yes, there are some sad verses in my books - but that's part of life! I also write about my faith, as it is so much part of my life.

In Fire and Ice you will find a few very personal poems about the M.E. and some about my husband, who is so supportive of this new venture! There are, of course, lots of other poems.

He's rather gorgeous, my husband, (lucky me) and has competed in Tough Guy twice ( few years ago!), which made me even more proud of him than I was before.

Hopes, Dreams & Medals was inspired when I watched the World Championship Athletics in 2011. I was so impressed by Team GB that I wondered if I could write about athletes and events. I produced a very small book but then had a think about winter games - again, I wondered if I would be able to write about them. I found I could, so I added those to the original poems and re-printed. I think I succeeded pretty well - go read my book and let me know what you think.

Anyway, that's quite enough about me - go do something more interesting, like reading my books instead!

I would love to hear from those of you who have bought my books, so why not join me on my facebook blog page and tell me what you think of them, what your fave poem is, and a bit about yourselves! Also you can read some of my work. Here's the link, hope to see you there.
