Yet another exciting new step for me - I have now published my first ever historical novel. Out of Time is set partly in 2006 and partly in 1191. It involved many new areas for me as it is also my first full length novel.

In the past, I have said that I would never write historical fiction; although I enjoy reading it, I didn't believe it was something I could write well. However, I am learning never to say what I will not write - each time I say that, it is the exact thing I end up doing. And the book has, thus far, received good reviews on Amazon, so it appears that I was wrong. Not only that, I enjoyed writing it so much, I am now considering writing the sequel.

To celebrate, I held a small launch party, which gave me chance to do something I have always wanted to do - wear medieval-style clothing. you can see a photo of the launch further down the post. As you see, I was not the only person who wanted the chance to dress up for the occasion.

The launch was kindly sponsored by two local businesses, Sharon Elmidoro Photography, Weston Turville, 07941 640799 and Perry House Dental Surgery, Wendover, 01296 622631

If you would like to read excerpts from the book, you can find them on my excerpt, samples and poems page and also in my group on Facebook.
